About

Hi, I’m Wendy Loveys and I have a deep passion for supporting young children from the age of 5, I specialise in creative, play-based therapeutic interventions designed to help children process trauma, anxiety, and anger. Understanding that play is a child’s natural language, I use storytelling, art, and role-playing to create a safe and engaging environment where children can express their emotions and experiences freely.

I work closely with parents, offering guidance and counselling to help strengthen parenting skills, improve communication, and foster positive family dynamics. My approach focuses on empowering parents to support their child’s emotional wellbeing, recognising the important role family plays in wellbeing and growth for all.

As a certified IARTT (International Association Rewind Trauma Therapy) Rewind Trauma Therapist & Level 1 & 2 EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner, I am also trained to support both children and parents in processing trauma in a safe and effective way.  I am also certified in The Foundation for Infant Loss (FIL) in both Rainbow Baby Counselling and Infertility Counselling, which enables me to support individuals and families experiencing fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, or the unique challenges of parenting after loss.

At ReWellness, I am committed to early intervention and holistic family support, ensuring that both children and their parents feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools for resilience, confidence and positive family lives.

Clinical Background

I have extensive experience supporting children, adults, and families, including work with Relate on The Turnaround Project, supporting children and women affected by domestic violence. This included one-to-one work in schools and facilitating workshops for children and parents. I have also worked with CAMHS referrals, the Leonardo Trust, young carers, and families needing support with parenting and relationship challenges.

My Early Years Pre-School Practice Level 3 provided a strong foundation in child development, attachment, and learning stages, further enriched by home-educating my own five children which continues to inform my understanding now as a grandparent.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, drawing, playing guitar, and exploring creative writing. Having recovered from a long-term chronic illness, I am passionate about linking nutrition and holistic wellbeing with the mind-body connection.
