Job description
Job Type: Part-time & full time
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate counsellors specialising in working with children and young people, to join our growing team in Broadstone. ReWellness Counselling is passionate about providing opportunities for growth and change. We offer a bespoke counselling service looking holistically at every client and their personal life journey. Our private referrals include relationship, parent and family work, alongside our work with children and young people. Our aim is to relieve suffering whilst empowering people to make positive changes that in turn impacts their families and the wider community.
The ideal candidate will align with our company’s values and ethics, demonstrating a strong commitment to children’s mental well-being in support of an holistic approach. At ReWellness, we value forward-thinking individuals who are eager to grow alongside us in creatively addressing the current mental health challenges many young people are facing. A CYP qualification along with prior experience working with children and young individuals is a must for this role, along with the ability to engage young people effectively and create a safe space for them to express themselves.

Responsibilities: –
● To provide initial assessments and evaluate risk and the appropriateness of counselling for clients referred to ReWellness.
● Provide individual sessions to mainly children and young people between the ages of 8 and 18 years
● Using a wide range of therapeutic modalities with a Person Centred Approach at the core of all work undertaken.
● Cultivate good working relationships and liaise with parents, teachers, and other professionals where appropriate.
● Maintain accurate and confidential client records, following ReWellness policies and procedures.
● Flexibility to work with adult clients when needed.
Requirements:
● Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People (CYP-L5) (or equivalent)
● Registered with a professional body such as BACP
● Enhanced DBS
● At least 1 year post qualifying experience , working with children and young people
● Passion & creativity along with an ability to connect with people of all ages
● Strong knowledge of counselling theories and techniques
● Excellent communication and active listening skills
● Ability to build rapport with clients and establish a trusting therapeutic relationship
● Empathy and compassion for individuals facing emotional challenges
● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
